Chaney Introducing 'Set & Forget' Clocks, Wireless Rain Gauge

CHICAGO- At the National Hardware Show here Chaney Instrument will unveil several new products, including clocks with patent-pending Set & Forget technology, a wireless rain gauge and an instant-read hamburger thermometer.

Clock with patent-pending Set & Forget microchip technology are designed to automatically spring forward and fall back for Daylight Savings Time.

With the Wireless Rain Gauge, users can monitor at home the amount of rainfall. The product includes a black collector unit and a black-and-silver receiver.

The collector unit goes outdoors and collects the rain. It automatically empties.

The receiver unit features a 0.7-inch LCD display that shows rainfall in either inches or millimeters.

The reset button allows the user to choose the time period between measurements, or they can keep a running total up to 99.9 inches. The product also features current outdoor weather status in picture form: on rain, light rain or heavy rain/storm. It also has a low-battery indicator and a signal-strength indicator. There is an alarm for when it starts to rain.

Wireless reception is up to 300 feet. Also included is a built-in mounting bracket.

The patent-pending Sure Grip Digital Instant Read Hamburger Probe Thermometers are available in 7- and 14- inch stainless steel heat-resistant; a temperature range of 50 degrees F to 392 degrees F; three-second temperature reading; and LED displays.
