Technology and Style Are Paired In

Lake Geneva, WI—Chaney
Instrument Co. announces a complete collection of time and weather
instruments for business settings. Atomix, Acu-Rite,
and the all-new Chaney Instrument brands are represented in a 24
page Office Products wholesale catalog now available. Call
800-777-0565 for more information.
Chaney Instrument Co.’s collection of products
for businesses delivers a broad selection of time and temperature
instruments ranging from standard molded wall clocks with large,
easy-to-read dials to handsome, decorative desktop clocks and
weather stations incorporating the latest technologies designed for
the consumer. Suggested retail prices for products featured in the
catalog range from $4 to $75.
Technology + Style
The Atomix brand
incorporates radio control technology to maintain precise time and
automatically update for Daylight Saving Time twice a year. With an
AM radio antenna and a microchip, Atomix clocks synchronize daily to
the official US atomic time maintained by the National Institute of
Standards and Technology in Boulder, Colorado. So, greater time
precision is achieved without any work. The
Atomix brand was one of the
first to offer and is still the only American-owned brand
incorporating this technology.
The Atomix
line continues to offer a wide selection of digital wall and
tabletop models, but the line is now enhanced with the addition of
several large analog clocks as well as decorative tabletop clocks
and stylish alarms. The 23-1/4” Cinnabar, which is suitable
for outdoor use in a protected area, has an aged metal case and a
large dial with Roman numerals, thermometer, and hygrometer. The
Crestwood is a 12-1/2” sq. wall clock that features
distinctively retro styling. Its pillow-shaped case has a rich
walnut finish, spun aluminum bezel, and convex glass lens with
silver numbers at 12, 3, 6, and 9, black hour and minute hands, and
a silver second hand. The Winslow and Glenoch
tabletop clocks feature solid wood cases suitable for the executive
suite and the Dalton,
Warner, and Moreland have contemporary black styling
with built-in alarms.
Acu-Rite wireless digital weather stations
are handy devices that incorporate wireless monitoring technology
and provide the convenience of having a monitor on a table inside
with a weatherproof sensor outdoors, or wherever you would like it
to be. Acu-Rite’s
models feature easy-to-read LCD screens that display both the
internal room temperature as well as the temperature for up to three
remote sensors with a range of up to 100 feet. So, in addition to
knowing the outdoor temperature, you can monitor temperatures in the
attic and basement as well. The monitor also displays the
temperature of the area around the sensor itself and includes a
temperature trend indicator. They also function as clocks with snooze
alarms and day/date displays.
The
Acu-Rite Weather and Atomic Time Station combines
radio-controlled atomic time with an in-home temperature monitoring
system. This savvy little device gives you the day, date and precise
time in hours minutes and seconds plus the temperature for up to
three remote locations. The basic set includes a desktop monitor and
one remote sensor that can be placed up to 100 feet away from the
monitor for about $24. Additional sensors are sold separately.
The more advanced models will give you
barometric pressure and humidity readings and alert you to weather
changes and impending storms. The weatherproof sensors also come
with a submersible waterproof probe for monitoring pools, ponds,
etc.
Founded in 1943
and based in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, Chaney Instrument Co. has sales
