Alarms and Clock Radios for the Drug and Discount
Market
Chaney
Instrument Co. continues to expand its offering of clocks with the
addition of a complete line of bedside and travel alarms as well as
clock radios to its Acu-Rite line, including keywound, quartz, and
electric models. Acu-Rite’s alarms offer a wide variety of
features, including analog and digital displays; snooze buttons;
ascending or adjustable volume, beeping and bell alarms. Its AM/FM
clock radios offer dual alarms, sleep timers, lit snooze buttons,
and night lights.
Because
Chaney has its own in-house design staff and purchasing offices in
China, the company is able to create designs that please at price
points that meet discount, drug, and convenience store needs. For
example, Chaney is one of few vendors that supply traditional
keywound clocks offering a total of six SKUs in that category and
its Alert alram is designed with a super loud alarm with adjustable
volume.
One of the
company’s newest proprietary designs, the Executive, is
equally handsome as it is funtional. It has a champagne gold case
with burl finished trim and features a .9” LED, snooze button,
adjustable alarm volume and battery back-up. It would look as good
on a desktop in an office as on a nightstand. Another innovative
design is the Legato which features a built-in night light in
addition to an AM/FM radio, alarm clock, sleep timer, and snooze
button.
