Grilling, Gardening or Storm Watching: Thermometers Provide the Numbers You Need

Indoor/outdoor thermometers continue to be functional and decorative items for the home influenced by lifestyle, home dÈcor, and technology trends. Chaney Instrument Co. will be exhibiting its thermometer collections at the Hardware Show August 11-13, booth #20422N.

Whatever the weather, Americans spend large amounts of time outdoors. From bird watching and gardening, to hiking, biking, camping or just soaking up some rays, weather affects what we do. To make the most of these activities, people need more information: the temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, and whether any storms are lurking over the horizon.

Fortunately, there are thermometers that fit the bill for outdoor enthusiasts, weekend gardeners, grilling chefs, and weather aficionados. Whatever the occasion, from Fatherís Day and Christmas holiday to graduations and summer weddings, thermometers make great gifts that are practical and attractive.

Accurate weather information

If itís weather information youíre after, digital weather stations are the latest trend. These handy devices incorporate wireless monitoring technology and provide the convenience of having a monitor on a table inside with a weatherproof sensor outdoors, in the attic or garage, or wherever you want to monitor temperature. Whether you are timing burgers on the grill or your own exposure to the sun, a combination thermometer/clock on the deck is handy during warm weather.
